CLAIRE SAADY has more than twenty years of experience primarily devoted to advising and representing foreign and domestic clients against charges of discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. She also has extensive experience in counseling corporate clients on compliance with the various state and federal laws concerning employment-related issues including sexual harassment, wage and hours, covenants not-to-compete, employee benefit issues, early retirement programs, and WARN. In addition, she has worked with companies to prepare their employee handbooks, sexual harassment policies, trade secret agreements, and has trained managers and executives concerning compliance issues.
Ms. Saady also is an attorney who has specialized in the area of employment law and litigation for more than twenty years, and has appeared before the EEOC and state and federal courts throughout the entire U.S. She has been an Adjunct Professor at Stetson Law School, teaching employment discrimination law, as well as Hofstra Law School and Brooklyn Law School in New York City
Ms. Saady is a frequent speaker and writer on all aspects of employment law, including sexual harassment, Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the applicability of U.S. laws to foreign clients conducting business in the U.S. She has been published in the National Law Journal, Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, Connecticut Maritime Association Newsletter, Manufacturer’s Monthly, and foreign publications.
DANIEL L. SAXE has broad-based experience representing companies of all sizes concerning employment-related matters. He has advised clients on issues such as compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination statutes, hiring and firing, and wrongful termination.
Mr. Saxe is also an attorney with more than twenty years of litigation experience, and has appeared in numerous arbitrations, mediations and state and federal court proceedings throughout the entire U.S. His first major employment-related trial was in 1982, when he successfully represented the New York State Department of Education in a Federal Court challenge to the mandatory retirement age of school bus drivers. Mr. Saxe has argues employment-related appeals in both the Second Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in New York City and the Fourth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia. He has extensive experience in guiding and counseling clients in Court proceedings on issues relating to age, race, sex, and disability claims. Mr. Saxe has also been an Adjunct Professor at Stetson Law School. |
